I think with the girls' mom saying its ok, you've got the go ahead. You also mention the girls are very well behaved. This suggests that they won't tease him or act immaturely, so that's another reason to continue with the punishment as scheduled.

Does he know he has earned a weekend in diapers already and when do you plan to tell him there will be guests over?
(By coincidence, not that you went out of your way to invite them over just to embarrass him)
