Subject: A pick'em

Oddsmakers rate today's game even. I think it will live up to its expectations in a very close game in front of perhaps 4,000 fans. What we need now is for someone to step up and show Pennington-like leadership. GO STAGS! GO JETS!

I'm looking forward to a great game today at Harbor Yard. Yale hasn't played a home game yet this season (their home opener is this Wednesday vs. URI) so there may be a lot of Bulldogs fans in attendance because of that.

Up until the loss at St. Mary's on Thursday, Yale has been consistant all season. Yale has played a tough schedule this season and is considered by many as one of the top mid-major teams in the nation. The Bulldogs have beaten a PAC-10 team and three teams who were picked to win their respective conferences (Manhattan, Holy Cross & CCSU...all solid mid-major teams). According to the Sagarin rankings, Yale's schedule rank is #19 in the nation. Yale's RPI rank is #40, but it'll probably drop after Thursday's loss at St. Mary's.

Good luck today. Like I said, it should be a good game.
