Subject: This was a game of memorable moments

Yes, we almost gave the game back to them at the end, but like most games this year, this team continues to battle, and it was the defense again that won this game. But this was a game of PLAYS....

- Thomson flurry of aggressive play for O-boards and loose balls was a sight to see. An inspirational performance by Rob..... just when we needed it the most.

- Thomson also did his impression of Deng Gai with 5 blocks..... one of them blocking it right back in the opponents face.

- Todd executed the last shot of the half to perfection with 31 secs on the game clock, and 30 on ths shot clock, Todd released it and drained it with no time left. the buzzers went off right after each other..... it was great music.

- After Deng Gai picked up his fourth foul he sat for bit, but he came back at teh 6 min mark..... and like any good team, Yale went right into their big man T.J. Mchugh to draw the foul. He faked right, then left, and then did a drop step go right at Gai..... to which Gai cleanly rejected. McHugh did not try that again and Gai never fouled out.

- Stags lose a 15 point 2nd half lead, their offense is struggling, Todd's on the bench nursing his ankle and things don't look good...... so who comes up big, but Kudjo draining 2 three pointers. There were no baskets that were bigger than that.

- Garcia put on clinic of low post moves.

- Delfico made some ill advised passes, but his hustle and determination represents what this team is all about. Today Nicks shot was dropping and they were key.

- Many of Gai's rebounds we grabbed ABOVE the rim..... another level than any one else.

- Starting team jumps out to a 10-2 lead, the Platoon B team enters and is scoreless for 3 minutes. The next time Platoon B team enters the Stags are up 17-12, and the crowd BOO's..... the most emotion the crowd has shown in a while. B-team goes on to outscore the opposition 7-3, and leaves the court to cheers. Hope the players know that the crowd was not booing them, just the strategy of taking out a successful unit.

- Stags are proving this year that defense wins games.

Some things I learned at the post game reception.
- Todd's twisted ankle was the reason he was not in at the end. He should be OK.... we hope.
- Bell only played 10 minutes, because he has been under the weather the whole week...... could also explain his performance and low minutes at Duke and Charleston So.

Great win for the Stags. It was fun to beat the Yale ..... Must have alot of depth. Appears that the Freshmen are still learning about College BBall and how to figure out TOT and their role. The Veterens still need to be the key players as they were today with the development of the younger ones as the season goes along. Great programs allow the slow development of the young ones so they don't loose confidence. Can't figure out why such a small crowd.
Still like seeing alot of players play if they understand their role as you never know when injuries like Garcia and Todd and illness like Bell pop up and we have to look at others. What is Todds status and what is wrong with Bell?
It appears that Bell looks tired and a step off?
We need the game Wed to go into a tough road swing
