Subject: Loyola - Scouting Report

The Hounds are 3-7 after beating Central Ct 65-63 at home. In that game their 6-5 frosh forward Bobby Bossman scored 19 points on 5-8 from betond the arc. I have read that Bossman reminds some people of former Hound, John Reimold, who also could bomb from the outside. Bossman averages 10ppg.

Lucious Jordan (6-2) is their top scorer at 14ppg. He is strong, and is more of scorer than a shooter..... but he can get hot from the outside. Bernard Allen is also very good. At 6-5, he averages 10.5ppg and 8.8rpg. He is a terror off the boards, and mostly an inside player, but he has hit 10 three pointers (40%).

I noticed that every player on Loyola has more turnovers than assists..... meaning that our pressure "D" could possibly create some turnovers.

Again I think the key to the game is our defense, and not letting them get any open looks from 3..... forcing then to drive to the hoop and challenge Thomson and Gai. Offensively, I hope that Todd is healthy, if not I am worried about us generating enough offense.

No need to worry. This is a team we should blow out. They are the weakest of MAAC opponents and on our home floor. Would like to see this team finally run someone out of the gym for once.

sorry beer man, we don't have enough of an offense to blow anyone out.

We should blow this team out of the water, but we don't know how to play with a lead. If we are up by 2 in the second half with 10 minutes remaining we try and use the clock instead of trying to score. How many shot clock violations and last minute prayers by Delficco can one team have. We need to continue trying to score when we have the lead.
