had 3 friends in town tonite and could have gone to see siena play iona but they wanted to see mike van schaick.
siena was on local tv so we could record that game.
the boys were much impressed as mike scored 35 points 21 in the first half.
the more i see of mike the more i think he will be a real good player for fairfield.
i think he made 11 of 12 foul shots had a bunch of great defensive plays rebounded etc......
the kid is a winner.
anybody know otoole well enuff to get a few free tix to next years games for us??? lol

The more I hear of Van Schaick, the more I like. I noticed he had no 3-pointers...... was it an off night from the arc, or just tightly covered?????

rdjc, thanks for the updates. Free tix.... not a chance from Fairfield, but sometimes people have extra tix that they are not using. I will keep you in mind.

Does this kid remind anyone of Bell (?)- size, shooting, defense, etc. Let's hope he doesn't lose his touch or have freshman jitters next year.

i dont think mike took 2 3's all night.
he had a bunch of steals that resulted in layups.
mike and the harris kid may be the best back court in the capitol district area. they are quick to the ball and the glens falls press is really tough to beat.
harris had a bunch of points off the press on assists from mike.
one of the guys i took to the game is a retired coach. the other 2 are former refs and coaches. they kept asking me why van schaick was going to fairfield.
ran into a couple of local division 3 coaches at the game and they were drooling over harris. good kid good marks. harris could make a low division 1 team. a little small for the 2 guard position but quick as all get out.
in the warm ups mike looked like crap. i really expected to get an earful but boy once the ball went up he just went nuts.

ivy league and a10 were also looking at mike.
siena took another kid from the same conference named mike beers. he is at prep school this year. mike vs won the league mvp as a junior over sam dolan (st thomas more) and beers. voting for the mvp is done by the coaches.
