Subject: MAAC Tourney - Random Thoughts

- So far a great Tourney in Trenton.... crowds are light from the locals , but each school is bringing Fans to allow for a very good atmosphere, especially Manhattan. But If this Tourney was in Bridgeport this year it would have been something. I will be back there tonight.

- The great thing about our "D" is that it takes the opposition out of what they want to do. Gai and Goode have been real keys in both games, but vs Siena ,we also got some good inside "D" from Ajou, Thomson and Max. Holding Haddix to 1-11 and Miller to 1-4 ...... how big was that??????.

- Goode has got to get some type of award.... he has played his heart out all year.... and its rubbing off.

- When I thought we needed an offensive spurt in the 2nd half, T.Todd knew exactly what he had to do. We will need him again tonight. We will also need to get the same offensive production out of Maxwell tonight

- Delfico shot was huge, and he looked real confident on it Nick has never hit The Game Winner, but he has hit a lot of key buckets in 2nd halves all year. He is solid as a rock.

- Good Post Game Party in the Radison Princeton last night..... hope to do the same tonight if people are looking for the place to Celebrate.

- Pregame Reception at 6PM at the SBA Arena

- Siena had a lot of offensive firepower on the inside, outside and off the bench..... and we shut it all down. But, Karangwa was still able to make some contested three's.... we need a player that and like Clark, and Jerry Johnson. Kudjo, Bell, deWitt, and Van Schaick give us lots of hope with experience.

- So much to say, but now its time to focus on Manhattan.... should be a great game....... just as long as the best team wins.

Didn't get to bed last night until nearly 3 am after driving nearly 200 miles from Trenton. I enjoyed every single minute of the drive!!!!

As unimpressed as I was with the Stags play on Saturday, I was that impressed with their play yesterday. They jumped on Siena right from the opening tap and played an intelligent game. They got good shots, did not turn the ball over too much, and played incredible defense. And though Siena gave it a good run near the end, FU never let them get close enough to have a solid chance. The Stags were rock solid down the stretch.

If the team that showed up Saturday shows up tonight, Manhattan wins. If the team that shows up last night is back again tonight, the Stags could be cutting down the nets.

Gotta say that, though the crowds were not huge, the games were all hotly contested. Should be a great finale tonight!

Dare to dream!! Go Stags!!!!
