Manhattan had a player a few years back that went to Kentucky and was a significant contributor on their last national champioship team. Don't think he made the NBA though.

but he WAS a starter and vital cog during a championship year! Also, remember Lamont Middleton (another Hartford player) who left to join St. Johns to be a very solid player there.

Also Lionel Simmons, Randy Woods and Tim Legler, all of Lasalle, played in the NBA.

Overton might have spent the most years in the NBA player of any Lasalle player.

In the last 7 years:

Vin Baker
Malik Rose
Speedy Claxton
Norman Richardson

By the way Hartford had a guy named Lamont Middleton who was a stud his freshman and soph years(much better than Vin Baker his 1st 2 years). He left Hartford to go to St Johns as he thought it would better prepare him for the NBA.He started on St Johns but was just a piece of the puzzle rather than a 25 pt,12 rbd guy he was at Hartford and he never made it to the NBA. It must have burned him that 3 years later Vin Baker finished out his whole career at Hartford and was a lottery pick.

Deng Gai will get plenty of exposure at Fairfield. He is the type of guy that could get lost in the shuffle at a place like Michigan.
