concerning MAAC tourney location. The only thing in cement, from what I know, is that the tourney is heading back to Albany next year, and rightfully so. Siena has the ability to put fannies in the seats so that the MAAC won't be bleeding red ink. However, GD needs to be making the STRONGEST of cases at this time to get the '05 games (or '06 if a commitment hasn't already been made) with Buffalo or Trenton, and get into a 2-3 year rotation thereafter. We are one of the most centrally located places in the league and within an hour or so for half the teams. That would mean that the majority of teams and their fans would not have to make a 400-700 mile trip up to Buffalo (where only 2 teams reside)in winter, and would not have to travel to the southern end of the spectrum toward Philadelphia (where only 2 teams reside).

If the desired attendance for this year's tourney is 32K, then the beautiful new Arena could easily handle that or more and the greater Bridgeport area would also benefit financially. With floor seats, we could accomodate c. 40K or about 10K for any particular venue, and there is NO bad seat either, as we all know. I am going to talk to Puma about this and with perhaps the 6th Man club and others getting behind it, we can/will make this happen!!

Harboryard is by far the most accessible venue. It should be in the rotation with Albany. If the MAAC means BUSINESS, forget Buffalo & Trenton no matter how many toes get stepped on.
