This is how FU can get the top seed

1. Beat Loyola
2. Iona beats Manhattan
3. Niagara loses once (Iona would then tie with Siena for third, but Iona wins the tie-breaker having beaten the Jaspers twice).

Anybody disagree with this scenario?

There is one other option. Niagara does not have to lose once if the follwing occurs:

St Peters Beats Siena in Albany, and Rider loses their last 2 games to Niagara and Canisius. This will put Iona and Niagara tied at 3rd and Rider and St Peters tied..... meaning that all tie breakers would be even between us and Manhattan. It would then come down to a COIN TOSS FOR THE BYE.

Rider plays Niagara tonight, so we will know a little more later. Bottom line is we can't get elimnated from 1st place until Sunday..... unless we lose to Loyola.

We need to root fro Rider Tonight.

The tie breaker rules say you compare your record vs. the next place team, not the next seeded team. This is the mistake that Shawn Brennan made 2 years ago that caused the rule to be re-written.

You would take FF and MC records and compare to combined record against Siena and Iona. In that case, both MC and FF are 2-2. You then move to the 5th place team and Fairfield was swept by Niagara so MC would be the first seed.

In your same scenario, Siena would also be the 3 seed becasue we swept Niagara

Hoops is right. If Iona and Siena are tied for 3rd, then Stags win 1st because:

Fairfield was 2-0 vs Iona, and 1-1 vs Siena for 3-1 overall
Manhattan would be 0-2 vs Iona, and 1-1 vs Siena for 1-3 overall. You even agreed to that this morning..... you must be on Tie-Breaker overload :)
