The MAAC has always been known as a league that provides good coaches to the High Majors.... Its important for that type of publicity to continue. But I don't think Ruland is going anywhere.

IMO, the league used to be tiered as the 3rd best league in the Northeast after the Big East and A-10.... and I think we need to get back to that reputation, and this year was a Big Start.

Over the last few years the MAAC has been losing to the Ivies, A-east, NEC, and Patriot and its huge that we separate ourselves from them. The other signigficant change is that the Colonial has become more of a Northeast type of league, and we are in direct competition with them. They were considered better than us, but the MAAC is rated #16 and Colonial rated #17.... its huge to keep that advantage this year. If we are associated with the Colonial conference that is good, instead of the Ivies, A-east, NEC, and Patriot group.

The last important aspect is to winn an NCAA Tourney game, or at least put a Big scare into High Major every year. Lasalle's and Mahattan's wins were big for the league along with Iona's close loss to Syracuse and Mississippi, and Stags loss to North Carolina give us bit publicity.
