Subject: Do you guys know that

The Fairfield game is being played right now, with Rider up by 13 at the 10:55 mark. Appears either Marist or SPC are strnaded in their hotels. That is not a fact, but only specuation. Check out CBS, sportsline .com for the score updates.

Anyone know why? MSG is running Elton Brand interview. They run a scroll at the bottom of the screen, but I keep missing the whole message.

Anyone know the deal?

I know that. What is funny, CBS lists the Rider Fairfield game being played now, while USAToady has it the SPC Marist game. At this point I have no idea who is playing or what is the deal with MSG. Obviously the signal could be a problem as mentioned by Yank. However does not explaing the different scores on the two wire services. Fairfield radio has nothing.

WVOF is playing music. It must be the St. Peter's-Marist game.

Bennett as high with 10 and Clark high for SPC with 9 at the half, I assume it is SPC Marist.

Talked to radio station and only person there said he didn't know anything about the game. I asked if would be broadcast and he had no idea.Said he was there cleaning up and the only one there. Said maybe it would be postponed because of the weather. Not sure he knew what was going on.

Yahoo has the score for SPC Marist. SPC by 5 with 5 to go. Two out of three with CBS listing it as the Fairfield score. At this point it looks like the SPC game is now being played.

Games should have been cancelled. Now you have no crowds, no TV. What was Ensor thinking would happen today?

Not a huge stretch to figure out that Ensor is SPC Alumni

Ease off, Saint, until you know some of the story. With both teams on site,it was probably better to play than to try and reschedual at so late a time in the season. These teams weren't apt to draw up there anyway.
Further, Ensor has more brains in his pinky than a van load of Siena alums.Exactly what is your beef with the job he is doing? Perhaps it's that Siena won't be able to steal the tourney again from a low seed when it's not in Albany, with his new format.

I hope for Ensor's sake all the team busses get to where they are supposed to after the game. That should be the # 1 consideration, PERIOD.

You're right about Ensor's pinky, because it's bigger than a van load of Siena alums.

These games could easily be played tomorrow because none of the teams playing has a game until Friday. The only reason to play the games is because they're supposed to be on TV, but as you can see, they are not on TV. So Ensor failed. It ultimately hurts SPC becaause it would have been a great showcase for Clark.

The game could not EASILY have been played tomorrow since there is a Bridgeport Sound hockey game schedualed.
Further as to the safety of the teams returning, since all the teams were up there since yesterday ,they still would have to make a trip home were the games not played.
Lastly how can you blame Ensor for MSG technical difficulties.Had he pulled out prematurely,as you probably have to,he would have been critisized for hurting an important media relationship with a Big time cable network.
Try and understand the facts before you mouth off next time OR confine your personal attacks to the sMAAC board where they belong. As for me, I'm through trying to enlighten you...it's a hopeless waste of time.

Again, none of these teams plays until Friday. And I was referring to the bus trips that the teams will make after the game. It was already noted that all the teams stayed in Bridgeport last night. Amazing that schools as poor and cheap as Rider and SPC actually paid for hotel rooms. I'm sure Ensor provided league funding for SPC

Pay attention and read s-l-ow-l-y.Whether or not the games were cancelled, the teams would still have to make their return trips. CANCELLING THE GAMES WOULD NOT MAKE IT ANY SAFER.Further what about MSG's contract to have the game provided to them if at all possible. It may have been in breech of contract to cancel, and bad faith for future negotiations.
BTW games couldn't be played on Wednesday either, as there is another hockey game.Arenas have events almost every night.Missing classes also becomes an issue that you obviously have not considered.
And this really is the last time I am responding to you...it was just too sweet to pass up pointing out your stupidity.
Go ahead and live in your moronic fanasy world. I'm sure you are not representative of the typical Siena fan,but you certainly are a poor poster boy.

Gee, Wake Forrest/Maryland got cancelled, but the MAAC is too important to cancel SPC-Marist. The return trip is only required because they were made to make the trip yesterday.

You are sure there are hockey games at this arena tuesdey and Weds?

When you grow up you will learn to surf the net and will be capable of checking the arena schedual.
And of course you didn't think it was wise to go up a day early to avoid bad weather. Like the forecast has never overestimated a precipitation event. If the teams didn't get there you would no doubt have complained that they didn't anticipate the predicted storm-You can't have it both ways.
Lastly Wake Forest/Maryland get many more Prime time opportunities. The MAAC was correct to seize on one of the few chances to be the only game in town. Isn't that what has made Siena successful-lack of competition in Albany except for cow milking competitions and Celebrity taffy pulls.
Peter's man is correct; you are at the bottom of the Siena cerebral chain.

Should have been cancelled. I'll grow up when you learn to spell schedule. I really believed the whole thing should have been cancelled, even though it looks like everything worked out.
