Subject: unbelievable-stags lose by 2

listened to most of the game since my MSG signal crapped out midway thru the 1st half...we came out very very very flat...probably from sitting around the arena for hours before the game...down 17-3 at one point...no excuse for this loss...we battled back in the 2nd half but couldn't close the deal....this game was very dissappointing....no crowd...lackluster performance by the Stags...we won't win the MAAC with this type of inconsistent play....tough loss

Not only was the action on the court bad but there was no more then 200 people in the stands. Not a good showing for the MAAC conference.

Not all that embarrassing considering it was in the middle of one of the top 5 storms..... I'm sure people in the area that can get the feed would have NO problems understanding why there were so few there. What's embarrassing is that the crowd today in a blizzard was the same number of people who attended the rider-marist game last year at the SBA on a Saturday and typically attend games at the SBA.

There will be no more then 1,500 for the MAAC championship on ESPN. Now that will indeed be embarassing.

Yet Siena earned that by winning 4 games in 4 days which no one has ever done before. I do apolgize, I don't the most recent police blotter to discuss Iona basketball.

Why is it that these Siena fans are obsessed with attendance?

Wasn't this fairfield's 3rd game in 5 days? Would account for some of the lethargy.

Check the Big East and A-10. None of their teams play 3 games in 5 days during the regular season. Both Siena and Fairfield have done it. And coincidentally, Rider was the 3rd of the 3 games in both cases, and thus the beneficiary.

Saintly has reverted to the classic "the other team was tired" excuse now that Rider is playing well.

Would it kill you just to say that the Broncs are much-improved and have done a great job to salvage their season. Of course it would, why do I even ask?

It wouldn't kill me. Rider is playing better, but they have an upper limit. They only have 1 player that can score outside the scheme of their basic offense. Rider could end the regular season 1-3, then do their usual out in the first round and finish the year 12-16.

the ship your "season" was riding sailed long ago. 6-8, 10-12 with a coach that can't recruit, division 3 facilities and no inside game to speak of. sba may host the first maac tournament to have less than 10,000 spectators for the weekend.

and marist had a similar schedule earlier,,,and then had no game for over a week...first too many, and then time to sit and get dull
