I agree the stags are going the right way, but my post is regarding the "WFAN's top sports authorties" statement. If those two bumbling fools who have no idea about basketball, or anything other than the yankees and giants (baseball) are anybody's top authorities that company is in trouble. GO STAGS!!

1. There are guarantees. You guys have a young nucleus and all, but that does not ensure future success. Kids sometimes don't develop much if they aren't coached properly (ie, Jermaine Clark, Dyree Wilson), other kids' attitudes change as they are "recruited over", etc.

2. While Fairfield is young, you do have three (or more?) guys who provide, if nothing else, experience and leadership that won't be back next year. While a guy like Delfico may lack star power, believe me, you'll miss him, even if you plug in a more talented player to replace him.

3. Fairfield's future is bright, but that doesn't ensure that you'll finish 2nd or better next year. Manhattan should still be very strong next year with only Jared Johnson a notable graduate. Iona replaces its only graduating senior, Maceo Wofford, with an All-Big East player. Siena is generally a very young team. Niagara isn't overly veteran. Even Rider is young and should be better. That's the other top 5 or 6 teams in the league that all figure to be stronger than this year. Lots of variables in there.
