Re: LeBron James - Yes, to HATE is a GOD awful Sin -- Running Man, 18:22:48 02/01/03 Sat
All reports say that the clothing he was given had a value of $800 and then describe that clothing as being two jerseys. Since when does a jersey cost $400?(Unless the shirts were Babe Ruth's and Ty Cobb's). By the way, by being ruled ineligible,LeBron screwed his teammates. A proponent of "The take care of number one" philosophy. He'll make a great pro!

Re: LeBron James -- J_B, 19:49:50 02/01/03 Sat
It is petty to me. Whenever someone is on top, there is ALWAYS someone else that wants to knock you down.
The kid is talented beyond belief. He is being exploited by media right now is high school. Espn is making millions off of showing his games. He is not seeing a dime. A gift of two jerseys "Worth" $800 is just down right petty. Someone dug that deep just to F@*K with this kid. It is stupid. OH you took two jerseys so you can play no more NAh Nah na-Nah ha. Childish!!!
If he is that good to go straight to the NBA let him. Will he miss out on his childhood Yes, but MY FELLOW AMERICANS. This is AMERICA, land of the Free and Lebron can do whatever the F___ he wants. 18 yrs technically your a man, it is this mans decision to go straight. There should not be a communist rule to tell him he HAS/MUST go to college first.

Re: LeBron James - One injury away... -- TruthRuth, 09:14:33 02/02/03 Sun
God forbid this kid blows out a knee - ACL - MCL, etc.. and can no longer play hoop.. he is being exploited big time by everyone around him.. including his so-called mentors - and even his mom - which is a shame...
who is going to pay back that Hummer loan if his career ends tragically? Gee -do you think they took into account his potential $20M endorsement contract when they underwrote that loan?
what a shame - but you are right - this is America - greed is good, and nothing is more noble than the almighty buck... good luck to LeBron.. and here is to his health, because without that and no college ed - we may see him at the Wendy's drive-through - or end up buying his $400 shirts on EBay...
