Its unfortunate that the fans at the tourney only get to see the #1 seed twice. I guess I'm still not convinced that the new format is better.

I'm not a big fan of the new format, either. I understand the regular season becomes more important, but a team should have to win three games to go dancing. Plus, this year, I don't think it's fair to a good No. 5 seed (Siena, Iona, Niagara or the Stags) to have to play four games. A simple solution: just reseed after each round. That way the highest seeds always plays the lowest seeds.

Does any other conference use this format?

I have to admit I've never really considered re-seeding but it sounds better than the current format.
