Subject: As long as we are in Big Dream mode

Can't we host a big time tourney in Bridgeport next year.

How about this "the Big Brother/Big Sister Classic" We build on Duke coming to Bridgeport and also invite Tommy Amaker and Michigan (huge Fairfield County--New York Alumni base) and either Quinn Snyder and Missouri or Jim Boeheim and Syracuse. We go with the old coach/former assistant coach mentoring angle and relate that to Big Brother/Big Sister as a charity event. Importance of a good role model--yada yada yada.

I think the doubleheader sells out easily and we could charge enough money to pay those elite teams to come. Snyder and Amaker come not only because of the charity angle but becasue they are tight with TOT and because they all respect Coach K so much. Of course this type of national media exposure would be great for Fairfield on the one hand, but if TOT keeps winning, might cost us a coach as he gets grouped with such big name coaches on the other hand.

Perhaps you can lend us the tape to your Sacred Heart game or one of the other high quality wins you have. We could be 12-3 too, but SHU and Hofstra were afraid play us.

Gee I wonder how Manhattan would have done against the National Powerhouses of Charleston Southern and American.

For your info NO TEAMS would play Manhattan at home (Draddy)all OOC games Away or at neutral locations.

Now cut the BS sit back and enjoy one hell of a MAAC Game Thursday. Good Luck cause that's what FF needs to win.

Sunnyside Bill, have you checked any of the guides for prospective college students lately? Check out Barrons. You'll see that Fairfield and Manhattan are not on the same level academically. Fairfield is moving toward the top echelon. Not true for Manhattan. There was a time when the schools were more or less comparable. The gap is widening. Were I a Manhattan alum, I'd be demanding answers of the administration. Too bad, but those are the facts.

P.S. Check your spelling of Fairfield.

When you 3 and the other 5 Manhattan Fans who know how to turn a computer on go to bed tomorrow night the FF faithful want you to have a pleasant rest. While you are in a peaceful slumber, think of your scrappy, hardworking team driving hard to the hole in a valiant attempt to live up to your coaches carefully crafted vision of success. For when you awake, there are a couple of angry african gentlemen who are gonna punch that vision right into free_beer's lap, and they will not apologize. Sleep well, rest up, this ain't St. Peter's. Be hopeful that you will be hitting bombs all night, cause the paint will belong to these fine gentlemen. Come early, get a good seat, up close, wear a bright colored hat, so the Deng's have something to aim at!!!

I hope free_beer saves the Dengs a couple of good seats to see the game after they foul out trying to stop our gaurds from driving to the hole. Now you sleep well and enjoy your dreams of success cause come Friday morning your big men will finally get to the spots our gaurds were at.
