Subject: CT Post - Stags Matchup with Flores

According to the CT post, looks like Sogadzi will have the major responsibility of handling Flores. Kudjo is a good matchup and plays good "D", but sometimes uses his hands to much and fouls...... don't want to do that with Flores, especcially when they are in 1-1 or bonus.

I would think that Todd/Goode combo will also see a lot of time due to their success at Siena, and that Manhattan also posseses quick trapping guards. In that case, Todd or Goode could matchup with Flores, and Goode is looking forward to it...... I like his additude, and I would like to see what he can do. Probably all 3 will cover him at some point. If Bell was available, he would probably be an excellent choice on Flores.

Jerry Johnson, Prosper Karangwa, ands Luis Flores are the 3 top Combo/SG...... we had good success with the first 2, but I think Flores game is more solid.

Ty can be a real pain on defense, and probably gets into your head more than being able to stop someone. What I find unique about his defense is that he can play so tight but not foul, and that would be important when covering Flores. I would start Ty just to set the tone for the game.

Agree, I was wondering who would get the duty, and Ty came to mind, but he would need help inside as Flores likes to take it to the hoop alot. Bell would be ideal if healthy. We'd better not lose sight of the rest of their team in trying to shut him down!

FF will have its hands full with Manhattan's trapping D. Suggestion when bringing the ball up - just put Ajou or Deng Gai at half court - big targets, good ball handlers, good passers. Ajou seemed to settle down the team @ Sienna, doesn't get frazzled.

PP, I like the idea of getting the ball to Ajou at half court...... but I would also add that if Todd passes it to him, Todd should streak to the hoop at full speed and get the give-and-go from Ajou. What could be better than having Todd with the ball on the Break at the top of the key. He's the right man to finish or dish to cutting Gai for a slam. Sounds so easy on paper :)
