Subject: ALI VS. FRASIER, ROUND 1

There hasn't been a game like this in a long, long time! I was feeling we would hit 5K and maybe surpass St. John's crowd of 5277, we missed by around 30. Had a chance to go ahead with some 3 minutes left, but missed a 3, had a block shot on the backboard (Nick), and Ty with a runner in the lane as time was expiring, all missed. The clear winner, however, was Flores with his 44 points, which I believe ties 2 other players for high scorers against us. No one was able to guard him, no one! Not Kudjo, Ty, Nick, or Max. He hit all but 2 foul shots, and made most of his shots. He's better than anyone we've faced all year, a Marcus Hattan, but better. The atmosphere reminded me of the days of Joey D and Johnny Ryan. Students with painted faces and chests, 2 full sections of them, just as I thought.

Will we get this kind of crowd again this year, maybe but doubtful. The only teams who might draw larger crowds are Iona and Siena. Everyone saw the 2 best teams duking it out like heavyweights. I believe we shall meet 2 more times before all is said and done. Great games by all our players.

Aren't you the guy who said on the Jasper board that our ride back home was going to seem like 500 miles tonight? You better hope tonight wasn't Lewis vs. Tyson!
