This is the MAAC we're talking about, nobody is "far and away" better than anyone. Just citing Iona as an example, we lost two very tight games to you guys and to Manhattan by 5. I don't think you've proven to be "far and away" better than us. Also, teams that are "far and away" better than anyone else don't lose home games to St. Peter's.

I, like everyone else at this point, agree that Manhattan and Fairfield will finish 1-2 (not necessarily in that order). But let's not act as if we should just scrap the rest of the season and the early rounds of the tournament and just put you two in Trenton for the title.

Let's see how they respond after the loss. SPC isn't a good indicator, but we've all seen FF have a decent start to seasons and proceed to fall on their face.

As far as 1 & 2 seeds go - we all know how well they do at tourney time.

Fair enough. Maybe I got carried away with the "far and away" comment. But after watching last nights game it's tough to argue the fact they are the two most talented. Sunday is an interesting game. Should be interesting to see how FF responds after such an emotional loss.

The 'Cocks play no defense, so the Stags should have their way. It won't be a good indicator.

Of course, the real looming question regarding Fairfield is whether they peaked too soon. Lots of hoops left, so we'll have to wait and see.

As for Manhattan, they've swooned each of the last two years late in the season under Gonzo, because he refuses to let his guards get a breather. I don't know if they'll fold up like a tent again, but it wouldn't shock me if they did.

I have only seen St Peters once, but it looks like their defense is improved overall..... they do lack on interior defense because they best frontcourt players are 6-5.

I do agree that Vegas would call this a "possible" let down game. It better not happen.

Take a look at the MAAC stats and SPC is far and away the worst defensive team in the league. Fairfield gets 90 without batting an eye, if they continue to play offense the way they have in recent games.
