Subject: "John Doe" Official Number 3

Did anyone recognize the black haired, "Denny Terio" referee from any other games this season? I have not seen him and here he is appearing in what was arguably the most important game in the MAAC this season???

The no-call on the travel/back-stroke by Flores and the T on TOT were horrendous abominations -

Gonzo's histrionics make him the Most Pummelable Person in the Tri-state area... was he taunting TOT with his "count it" gestures? What an embarrassment..

Stags have their number - IF: Flores scores his average - Stags still score 86 (with no one on Stags having a career scoring night) --> the Stags walk away with a 15 or so point victory -

This will not happen again to them... Go Stags - a decided advantage with their depth!

Looking at the foul situation mid-way through second half, I thought for sure our depth would save us in the end with Manhattan players fouling out one after another. Did anyone else see this foul situation? They had more players with 3 or 4 fouls than we did for quite a long period.

Yeah, they had a lot of players with 3 and 4 fouls, yet none of them seemed to foul out. That "John Doe" ref basically fouled Thompson and Garcia out of the game. I wa surprised they didn't call more on Gai because they were clearly trying to take away the middle for us.

His name is Gene Steratore. I have never seen him before. The other 2 officials, Tom Lopes & Bryan Kersey, are much better known refs, often doing Big East & ACC games

Were you referring to the unbelieveable call at midcourt where the 2 Jaspers ran into eachother, one fell, and although we weren't involved, we got the foul? Funny how the 2 coaches I know who drove down from Waterbury commented how bad the officiating was.

I think the wrong official made the call. The play was near mid-court but "middle" guy didn't make it. It was the trail guy who didn't have an angle. He was older guy who call both T's. While it seemed he was a pretty good ref technically, in my mind things were a bit too much about him and him being "the man" in charge. He was barking back at TOT which is a BIG referee mistake.

Unfortunately, horrible officiating is becoming common in this league. I don't think it's biased, just incompetant.

He was the only ref to make bad calls... the other 2 were pretty good, cauae I don't even remember them. The amazing thing is that usually a ref that makes a lot of questionable calls and is being harrassed by the fans, eventually makes a good call and the Fans give the Ref a "Mock Cheer"...... John Doe never got that mock cheer.

Bottom line we lost cause Manhattan played better than us.
