Subject: Women's Game

Another good win for the women tonight. Down 7 at the half and 50-35 with 12:00 left, the Stags rallied to win 75-71 at Canisius. Janelle McManus again led the Stags, scoring 22(16 in the 2nd half). Cathy Dash scored 18 and Thais Celiberto had 13, including 7-7 FT in the 2nd half. Freshman Ivana Podrug scored 6 big points during the 2nd half rally.
Next game Sunday at Niagara.

P.S. Listened to the entire game on the web. No problems.

Two double-double in a row for Cathy Dash. Having McManus as another scorer certainly has helped.

Nolan finding a combination that works..... its a 5-woman rotation, all logging about 33-35mpg. The 3-guard offense seems very expolsive as McManus is rounding into shape. The big girl, Miljovic, seems to be holding her own defensively..... which means that Cathy Dash must come up big for us as an undersized PF.... consecutive double-doubles is exactly what we need.

Obviously we need more depth up front because of Foul Trouble..... Nice to see Podrug be somewhat effective, as she has a lot of potential at 6-6.

2-3 in the MAAC, with a OT loss at St Peters..... maybe this team can make it into the top 4.

Nice to see the women play a strong second half and keep their MAAC season alive. Still plenty of time to position themselves in the top 4. I'm really looking forward to seeing Janelle MacManus in action during the weeks ahead.

Congrats to Dianne Nolan for win No. 400 at Fairfield and No. 461 in her illustrious career. The only sure things in life ... death, taxes and Dianne Nolan making a run at the MAAC title. She'll find a way to keep the Stags in the hunt.

Congrats to DN. How long do you figure it'll be before TOT gets # 400?

Let's see, 400 divided by 12 is ...

Love to see it. 20 wins a year on average...he must have 65 or so by now. 200 in 2013-14?
