 NUSuperfan, I agree that most seasons they'll hover around the same record regardless of who's running the program and that it would take a big name coaching hire to really change things.

I will say that I think Canisius is showing that it's not impossible for them or Niagara to be a little more aggressive. Jim Christian has brought in two former Top 150 recruits since being named their head coach.

And while neither player has produced at a high level so far in college, they should be solid in the MAAC. I like to compare NU and CAN since they're in similar situations and believe the Griffs will be a 20-win team in the near future under Christian. Hopefully Niagara will eventually take another step under Paulus.
