» Niagara would compete in a home-and-home series against Robert Morris going 1-0-1 on the weekend.
» The Purple Eagles traveled to Robert Morris on Friday, where they won their first conference game of the season, 7-3.
» Seven different Purple Eagles would score, including Nathan Oickle who would record his first collegiate goal.
» On Saturday, Niagara played their first home game of the season where the Purple Eagles and the Colonials would draw in overtime, Robert Morris would take the win in a shootout. Noah Carlin scored two goals in the game, the last time a Niagara defenseman scored two goals in a game was by Chris Harpur back on February 11, 2022 against Canisius.

» Niagara will wear black uniforms Wednesday night, making 2024-25 the first season since 2017-18 that the Purple Eagles had a third jersey.
A New Era for the AHA
» Atlantic Hockey America (AHA), formerly known as the Atlantic Hockey Association, opens its regular season this weekend. The 2024-25 season marks the first season for Atlantic Hockey America after the merger between the Atlantic Hockey Association and College Hockey America.
Preseason Poll
» The Niagara University Purple Eagles were selected sixth in the Atlantic Hockey America Poll, the conference announced on Sept. 17, recieving one first place vote and a total of 67 points.
» The Sacred Heart Pioneers claimed the top spot in the Coaches’ Poll, tallying 102 total points and five first-place votes in balloting among AHA head coaches.
Flame On
» Niagara freshman Trevor Hoskin was selected by the Calgary Flames with the 106th overall pick of the 2024 NHL Draft.
» The 20 year old out of Ontario played for the Cobourg Cougars of the OJHL where he tallied 100 points on 42 goals and 58 assists in 52 games during the 2023-24 season.

» Niagara senior forward Jay Ahearn enters his second season as the captain of the Purple and White, becoming the sixth Purple Eagle in program history to wear the C for multiple seasons, and the first since Chris Harpur (2020-21, 2021-22)
