» The Niagara University men’s basketball team opens the 2024-25 season inside the Gallagher Center against Houghton on Monday, Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m.
» NU will begin the season at home for the first time since the 2018-19 season.
» The 2024-25 season will be Niagara’s sixth under the helm of Greg Paulus. Over the last five seasons, Niagara has posted a 67-78 record, including a 46-50 record in MAAC play.
» The Greg Paulus led Niagara Purple Eagles will feature 14 new players, including four freshman and 10 transfer students.
» Niagara is one of five schools in all of NCAA Division I men’s basketball to have no returning minutes from the previous season, joining DePaul, IUPUI, Iona, Kentucy and Louisville.
» The Purple and White’s 14 total newcomers is tied for third most in college basketball with Cal, IU Indy, Louisville, UT Martin, Missouri State, Tarelton State, Fresno State, Pacific, Coastal Carolina, and DePaul also bringin in 14 or more players for 2024-25.
» Following Monday’s home game, Niagara will begin a seven-game road swing, its longest consecutive games away from home under head coach Greg Paulus. Niagara played five-straight road games last season and six in a row in 2021-22.
