It's the weirdest situation imaginable as a fan. No bonds develop between the fans and the players as far as interest, therefore little interest. The names change yearly. The universities just put it out there never knowing or gauging what the progress of the team really is from year to year. Pay the rate a coach will accept, hope he wins half his games which will probably entitle him to keep his job, and make sure he runs a clean and respectable program. Anything beyond that is just luck for the coach and the AD. The next year it's like starting another Bingo game. The big teams who win will always draw the expected bandwagon, but for the rest of us, why bother driving in winter for a chair that costs you $150 plus parking, when you can watch hundreds of games including every NU game both home and on the road from the comfort of your own home for about $11 per month over 4 months and just take it easy on yourself?

It's like "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers". Here today, gone tomorrow, with a cold feeling of nothingness. That's how I feel when I watch Niagara. New bodies will replace the old ones and the there's no feelings. Its put a team on the floor, coach the best you can, recruit primarily from the portal, rinse and repeat.
