Not aware of the full impact, however, this is not good news.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Canisius University is selling its historic Lyons Hall property on Main Street, the school confirmed Thursday.

The former Mount St. Joseph High School, Canisius acquired the property, located at 2048 Main Street in 2006. It housed several academic programs and professor offices. A sale price was not listed, but is being marketed in Pyramid Brokerage, a Cushman & Wakefield firm.

The five-story building has been sitting vacant since December 2022, when it was badly damaged in the Christmas blizzard. Classes have not been held in the building since. The interior of the building was fully gutted.

The sale will include the building, which is some 77,000 square feet, along with parking lots both in front of and behind the building. It sits at a total of 1.46 acres.

Might need the money. Not a good sign.

Unfortunately nu and Canisius areas are not the greatest imo. Nu has a lot of land but no buildings.
