Here’s a proposal that will significantly increase revenue and national recognition. First step, leave the MAAC and declare as an independent. Schedule 30 road games against the best teams looking for a walk over. Just imagine, all those games against Duke, UNC, Alabama, Gonzaga, Michigan, Tennessee, Louisville, St. John’s, Kansas and so on. We become the NCAA version of the Washington Generals! We go 0-30 but the kids get to see the country, the best arenas and get tons of TV time. There’s always a team looking for a run out, even after the New Year. Give them a nice break from their tough conference schedules. I mean, why lose to teams that are ranked #300 or lower when you can get paid big bucks and lose by the same amount! Play all of our OOC games against those programs you alluded to and win our league and go to the NCAA tournament. Those OOC games will toughen us up to beat the other cupcakes in our league to allow us to go to the Big Dance. Yeah, that’s the ticket !

However to purely use the losses as a fundraiser is novel, but would you want to recruit a team by telling them they are going to lose 30 games and not a dime will come back either to the team or athletics in general?
