The day the whole world went away

The slightly built, poorly dressed, fidgety man muttered anxiously to himself as he waited with Gavin's cell pressed up to his ear and listened to her phone ring, and ring, and ring. He was already down sitting in his old beater of a car which was parked on the side of the road outside a dimly lit, plain brick apartment building that was the very modest home of a certain guitar-playing world-famous rock star. He was slouched down in to the driver's seat, staring impatiently down the road - praying that he would see the flashing red and white lights of the ambulance soon, and that Bianca would just answer her telephone already. Though he wasn't the most intelligent man, and had taken a few too many wrong turns in his life, he had dialed 9-1-1 the moment that he figured out that something was wrong with his friend, but then had taken off - he was only a small-time dealer, but he couldn't risk a police investigation if he was found there with Gavin. Sitting in the dark of his unlit car, he was blubbering away - in tears and trembling - Bianca's name in hopes that she would just answer already, and muttering broken apologies. He worshipped the ground the Gavin walked in - the guy was his idol in every way, and he had always taken pride in the fact that even though he was rich and famous, Gavin had kept him around as his dealer, and even let him live in his apartment when he was away. Now, he didn't even know if the guy was still alive or not...
