There goes our false sense of security. I guess we all knew this day would come. I sincerely hope that all of the gang's families are safe and sound in the aftermath of such a tragedy as this. Dad told me that a guy from Eastland (my home town) was in the WTC just yesterday. Talk about a close call! My prayers are with all those affected by this today. I hope that doesn't include any of you.

That I am soooooooo crazy about Eli!!!! This guy is great and I have never been so happy. Never thought I'd get this lucky to find this guy. My parents love him, and his daughter. (me too) His birthday is next month and I bought him a ticket to the Cowboys/Niners game!!! He's a big Niners fan. My friend Nina, from PA, and her boyfriend are flying down and going to go to the game with us. Sittin on the 30 yard line!!! Gonna be fun and cold!! I'm so excited and I cannot wait to see his face when he sees the ticket. Of course I'll get him something else to use now, since the game is in Dec. Anyways, I just wanted to share.

Well after finally sitting down and not losing my cool I discovered a few things. Jack had told his exgf, who is the mother of his daughter he was leaving cause she was threatening to not let him see Addie, his daughter because of me. I saw the email, she has a few things coming to her. Jack and I have been talking. We both agree we moved wayyyyyyyy too fast, so its time to slow down and take things in the right time frame. Like going out on dates, and I get to meet his son for the first time this weekend. We are not going to live together for a while, until we feel the time is right.
I guess I have learned what it is to be a grown up and comprimise, or a child and get your way all the time. Butttttttttt hey I still wanna have ritas with ya'll. I can say living alone stinks big time, but Im adjusting. So I will keep yall updated on what happens. Just please keep us in your prayers. Mary, glad things are working out. I think I found your 4 pounds lol, I had a sinus infection and didnt work out for a week, so Im suffering a lil from that. Well talk to all of you later.

Well update, as of Friday I am single, come to find out Jack has been planning to leave me for the past month and a few people knew. Including his ex girlfriend. Soooo I am single again, and living in the house by myself. But gonna make it.
I will say I have the knack for picking loosers. He even took 60.00 out of the checking account and left me with 25.00 for the rest of the week.

All is great with me and my guy. His name is Eli! Guess I never told you all that! Let's see - he's 5'8, 180#, blk hair, brown eyes, and yes he's Hispanic. OMG his sooo cute!! No fights, no disagreements, no nothing, things are perfect. I NEVER would have thought I could be this happy and have things go so well.
I am down 36 lbs now! Hit a stopping point, but thats okay, losing inches is better. Fat girl is NOW down from a size 20 to a 14. Weeeee I'm no longer ashamed of my size!!!!!!! I can proudly say 14 14 14 14 14 and feel great. I guess if ya wanna lose weight bad enough ya got stick to it cuz it can be done. I now get looks and I just blow them off. Eli notices it and asks why I dont look back. Hell why should I? I got what I want walking right beside me!!!! He has been great to me and we have such a blast together!!
Anyway... hope everyone else is doing great. Cheryl, send me some more pics of Davis. I wanna see this cutie and how much he's grown.

Very sad tragedy today. My father was about to leave for the airport to go to Salt Lake City this morning (after the WTC was hit) and his boss said STAY HOME, then the news reported all airports were closed. Don't know what I would have done if my father was in the air when all this happened.
My uncle lives in KS and he said gas is at $5 a gallon, and the gas stations were lined up with people and he could not leave his parking lot of his bldg due to the traffic. What is this place coming to?
We need to say a little prayer and be thankful for what we have. Our agents in the East had a convention in NY today... hopefully none of them were hurt.

I met him, his wife and 3 kids about 3 years ago at the ballpark. Very nice man - and great kids. I met him with John Wettland!! Shortly after that he was traded. :-(

As for my guy - long story how we met, but let's just call it a chance encounter. When we met I was not interested in him - then things changed. Now I'm crazy about him. He's a great guy. I met his dau a couple of weeks ago. She just turned 3. I love her - I always tell him to bring her back over. She looks like the little girl from the Pepsi commercials!! She followed me all over my house - we played and played. I'll give ya bits at at time as I do not want to jinx anything.

Well things are going great here too, lol Bay we can practice but nooooo babies till at least a year after surgery. I have finally started going to the gym and really so far I love it. I am walking on the treadmill, and the bike, and doing weight things, all I know is I am feeling better that I can ever remember.
Matter of fact, went and played 5 games of volleyball the other night, and lets just say the ball beat me to death lol. But it was fun.
Work is still going good, busy time of year for us again, but hey I love it. Only real stress is my preacher has taken upon himself to remind Jack and I that its a sin to live together b4 marriage. Its only been dragging on for 4 weeks now. So I guess I get to lay the law down tomorrow.
Well getting late, and Ive had a busy day so I'll say nite and talk to yall later.

Hi everyone! Wanted to drop a line and say hi...
We have been very busy with the business, but it is going WAY better than expected!!! We finally got us a house... its a 3 bed/2bath/1 car garage the kitchen is HUGE.. the living room is a lil smaller than i like, but it'll do... the yard is friggin big too... we live amost at the end of a cul-de-sac which is right on the lake. its absolutely beautiful here... we moved just on the other side of the lake.. which is considered the Ft worth side... very nice and quiet neighborhood...
i've been in the hospital with some terrible chest pains.. had a hundred and one tests ran and there will be more... hopefully all will be ok...

LA? You poor girl too... I know what it is like to go through abuse, and its not pleasant, and it will stick with me till the day I die. My ex will be getting out of prison at the end of october.. i have been dealing with them to see what i can do to keep him away from us... They told me i can write a letter and request that he not be allowed in my county.. that will be in his parole record stuff... I am glad to see that you are recovering well from it... but remember, they never change... Evil people like that will stay that way...
Shawn--glad to hear that you and jack are doing great... you are going to love married life.. i do!!! mine is terrific! i definitely got me a keeper for sure! There's nothing better than to have someone love you for who you are... Any babies in the making yet? *wink* wayne and i practice alot... lmao...
We are off today, we dont work on tuesdays cause we are on a bowling league.. so we have one day off and the rest of the week we work 2-8 and then on sats and sun we work 12-8... its been great and we love it.. get to meet alot of people that are very friendly and have made some really good friends in town.

Just wanted to show my true loyalty first. Went to the Cowboy game this past Thursday. Someone had given my dad four tickets and then he couldn't go. 50 yard line, 5th row and a Blue parking pass. The only bad part was that they were on the visitors side. FYI - If someone gives you these tickets, take them. If you ahve to but them, save your money and get them further back. You are so low, and the field has a curve, that it is hard to tell what is happening when the play goes to the oter side. Wait, what am I thinking. All you women would probably wouldn't watch being that close to all those guys in their tight semi-see through pants.

Now I can proceed with my career, I am getting certified for cardio kickboxing in November, UNLESS Ballys has a better deal, they certify there and you teach at Ballys, so we shall see, I am excited about that. Ready to get out of this sitting all day in front of a computer, gettin antsy!!
As for my love life, lol, well I am dating a very sweet guy, his brother in law is a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, used to play with Rangers, his name is Estaban for any of you baseball lovers you might know him. But my guy is very saweet and cute :)

lol my boss used to call me shawn "puffy" now she calls me shawn"not so puffy". I am doing good. Down about 65 pounds now. Starting at the gym next week now that I am all settled in the new apt and actually finding it easy to keep clean. That is scary. Still looking at feb 2 for the wedding date, even tho my preacher isnt happy we are living together. oh well. I am enjoying domestic bliss so far. Last night actually went bowling and did good, considering its only been three and a half months since surgery.
Mary, glad to hear you are keeping up with the weigt loss and the new man, see I told you when the time is right. Kim, glad you are staying. Mark, Steve, Sue, Cheryl, Bay, hope yall are all doing good.
Hopefully soon we can all get together and have lunch or something. Mary, I am now only 15 minutes if that away from the Chilis, we had Cheryls lunch at, I love it.

Kim - glad you are staying. Seems no one wants to pay well to relocate. My friend Marcia and her husband just turned an offer down to move to TN.
As for the guy!! Well... He's 29 - 5'8" - very proportioned. Big brown eyes! He has a great job - and he is perfect. I havent been this happy in a long time - and I feel great around him. I'm down 30 lbs, slowly but surely coming off - but as I keep hearing and as I know, it didnt come on over night so it wont go off overnight. (Unless my name was Shawn it would - hehe)
Speaking of Shawn... how are you doing? Good I hope. Are you having any problems from the surgery? The girl at work is doing great, havent had a chance to talk to her but I think the last I heard she was down 56 lbs. If I had to guess she weighed about 400 Lbs before surgery, but I could be wrong.
Well I gotta run, Yankees game is tonight. Gawd I hope the Rangers dont beat them 3 straight - that would hurt!!

I think the moving helped lol. Jack and I got moved into our apt last weekend. Its fun getting to come home to my own place and cook dinner to suit me and him and not everyone else. Ya know I thought it would be hard to cook since, I couldn't eat it, but he is wanting to eat healthy too so it makes it easy. Hey gang...it's been a while since I've been on but I've been going through some heavy duty stuff. I see that Cheryl had a boy...congrats girlfren! Shawn, congrats on the engagement and weight loss! woohoo! Mary, you go girl! I'm so happy for you guys =) Well...more drama has managed to slither into my once happy life. In a nutshell...I was engaged, you guys knew that. Well Mr. Right turned out to be Mr. Oh so Wrong. Our wedding date was set for October 20th. I found out I was pregnant on July 10th. I told Jay that same night, we had an argument, it turned violent. He spent the night in jail, I spent the night in the hospital. After 2 weeks of hanging on to my pregnancy, I miscarried on July 23rd due to the stress. I was admitted into the hospital and had surgery. I'm doing better now but the emotional wounds will last a while I'm sure. Can I pick em' or what....ha. But I am sincerely happy to hear that everyone else is doing so well...congrats CherylC and Shawn!

Hey the girl I work with who had the surgery after you has lost 56 lbs - She is doing well and looks great. You can really see the loss in her chest/stomach area. She said, like you, her legs went down first. She joined a health club and is afraid to eat certain foods. Her lunch yesterday was 1/2 cup of soup.
STEPH - I saw on Kidds board that you were going to get your kickboxing certification in Nov??? Is that going to be ok to do since you are prego???? Or are you going to instruct after the baby is born??? I HOPE ITS A BOY!!!! Maybe twins!!! My cuzn had a baby yesterday, lil girl, 6lb 8 oz. Shes a beauty!!

I even have clothes in the closet that fit - no more tight clothes, no more cutting off the circulation, its awesome. It's like having a new wardrobe all over again!!!

(((((((((Steph))))))))) things are going great. Loving the engaged life, driving him insane. Aug 10 we move into our own apt in Irving. It will be sooooo nice to be just the two of us. We spent all day today packing and cleaning and even though we dont move for about a month we are almost all packed lol. I am pleased to announce the Birth of Davis Neal Caldwell!!!
We was born Tuesday, July 3rd at 1:36pm.
He weighed 7 lbs 3 oz - and was 19-1/2" long.
The family is doing very well!!!!!

I went to the Dr. yesterday.
A couple of things....
They hooked me upto a Non-Stress Test. The baby's heart rate should increase when he moves. The baby's heartbeat didn't increase like it should.
I am having horrible pains in my lower tummy.
I am going on Friday for an amnio to check on the babies lungs. If they are mature enough, then we'll do the C-Section on Monday or Tuesday. I am ready to get him out! Wish me luck. The sooner this is over the sooner I get alcohol :-)
Thanks to Sue, Mary & Shawn for coming to my Shower/Lunch and thanks for the gifts and lunch. It was great seeing all the skinny people.
I'll let ya'll know how everything goes as soon as I can.

steve, since ive had my weight loss surgery all i am supposed to have is liquids for another two weeks, but slowly working to pureed foods. I intake like 300 calories a day now as apposed to 4,000. But so far so good, i cant wait till tuesday for the first group meeting. maybe i can get help with my protein issue. funny thing though is i love watching cooking shows now, maybe cause when i move hopefully in a month, ill be able to cook for a certain person :).

Ok as of last monday i have lost 32 pounds thats about an average of 1.5 pounds a day which im veryyyyyyyyy happy for. Also, I have a man in my life, lol actually in my life, of course met him on the net and we spend as much possible time together. I hope we are still on for the 23rd, cant wait to see some of yall. As for the diet going good, im slowly incorporating a few soft foods into my diet to get protein, just taking it one day at a time right now and in 4 weeks I hit the gym. Hopefully there I will really start dropping those pounds. Well talk to ya later

You're going to have to give me more details. How are you feeling? Are you hungry? Are you in a lot of pain? Can you eat or are you drink ensure stuff right now? What happens if you pig out on ice cream? How much do you intend to lose and over what time period? Did they staple your stomach or do the bypass stuff? Are you having to watch your caloric intake?
My mom had the bypass stuff done almost 30 years ago, and she suffers from constant diarehha (sp) and the toots. But, she maintains 135lbs at 5 foot 8. She weighed 260 lbs, when they did her surgery. But, she can and does pig out, she just has the poops worse when she does.

I had the stomach stapling done or called Vertical Banded Gastroplasty. Right now my stomach can only hold 2 ounces of liquid at a time. Seems like a small amount and I guess it is, but no Im not really hungry at all. Right now we are having problems with me getting my protein cause the drinks are making me sick to my tummy, so that is something we have to work around. As far as pain, naaa not really much there, if I twist wrong some of the muscles that are healing object, but I am told after 8 weeks after surgery, I can go back to full activity including working out. I am on liquid diet for 6 weeks after surgery then for six weeks after that I can have pureed foods, then after 12 weeks I can have solids, just have to make sure I chew my food very well. Needless to say I am the ULTIMATE cheap date now lol. But hey its worth it when I get down to 137 :) and I wanna be that by next summer. Cause I have a body to show off :). Also but as far as pigging out, no Ill never be able to do that, or else I will stretch my pouch and could start gaining weight back. :)

I'm sure the kids are keeping you busy and are just as anxious for summer as mine are - they are literally counting the days (and probably the hours and minutes as well)! Mary - I already spoke to you, but hello anyway!
Things for me are going okay. I'm still on my own, and have adjusted fairly well. I've decided though that God definitely has a sense of humor - the latest drama in my life is that I'm now unemployed. My job was officially eliminated last week, so I get the fun task of finding another one. I'm sure I'll find something, but the idea of interviewing again is painful to me! My self confidence has always been an area that I've been lacking in, so I'm asking my friends to please keep me in their prayers and pray that I'll be able to convince myself (so that I can convince someone else) that I'm worth hiring! I'm really doing ok though and I see this as God closing a door so he can open a window, and perhaps again urging me out of my pattern of never allowing change in my life.
Since I'm home now I'll try to check in more often. I hope you're all doing well (including any who read but don't post here). I love you all, and keep you in my thoughts.

I would definitely consider doing the same thing IF (and notice the big "if") insurance would pay for it - but I don't think mine would. Ok yes I know its early lol but I leave in about 45 minutes to go to the hospital and Im scared out of my mind. But I know everything will be ok. My family and friends will be there for me including my Pastor. And last night the dr who puts you to sleep lol called to go over a few things, I thought that was kewl. Well, congrats LA, I am happy for you :). Well here is an update, I got a call tuesday 5/1 telling me I had been approved. Needless to say it took Cigna 1 week to approve me. Here is the other thing. My surgery date is May 14th. I got lucky and they had a cancellation, so I grabbed the slot. I am sooooooo excited, I can't wait. I took my psychological exam today and do all my lab work stuff tomorrow, and then have a week to really look at life before the change. Thanks for all yalls love and support, it really does make a difference.

Hideeho! Just wanted to pop in and say hi. Just back back from Reno. Feeling refreshed! Got a new boss, I hope this one works out better. It's a guy, so I think it will. Little baby is growing! He's 2.6lbs now. Only 80 more days till d-day! I wasn't sure if I've told ya'll the name....Davis Neal Caldwell and he'll be born on July 12, scheduled for 9:30am. The only good thing about a schedule c-section is knowing when to have my family drive in.
I miss all the action on the board. Where did they all go?
Shawn...good luck on the surgery! I am very proud of you for making that step. My mom has that surgery, long ago, when it wasn't as safe, but now she hovers at 135lbs, and she's 5 foot 8! You'll be in my prayers. I hope it helps to make you healthier and happier!

Ok, well I guess now is the time to tell and ask for your prayers lol, I am looking at having weight loss surgery done, pending insurance approval and some sort of psych evaluation. I went to the Dr today for my medical and surgical evaluation and i passed, so now the hard part.
When I have the surgery I wont be able to eat but about the size of a shot glass :) or 2 ozs, but the benefits will be a healthier and skinnier me. Its amazing, my family is behind me 100% but its time I make changes in my life and I want it :). Hope everyone is doing ok, life here is great, busy but great, well nap time cause i got a sun burn yesterday and forgot how much that drains me. byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

NASCAR was great - emotional race, but if you're not a fan then it wouldnt be for you, but it was a great weekend!!!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to check in. Been a while and I've had a lot going on. Went to Lubbock for College Recruiting last week and had fun, came home Thursday night to wake up to a migraine Friday. Hubby had to take off work and take me to the ER, since my OB didn't know what to give me and my Primary Dr. wouldn't treat me because of the pregnancy. So instead of spending a $10 co-pay at a Drs office, I had to pay a $50 co-pay at the ER. But, I got a Demerol shot in my hiney and I really don't know if it helped or if I just didn't care that I had a headache :-)
I still haven't set my boss on fire.....kudos to me :-)
I am starting to think that I need to quit bowling, it tires me out and the cigarette smoke gives me a headache and makes me grumpy.
I go back to the Dr. next week and I am sure I'll have gained 15lbs, since I've been so hungry I could eat the ass out of a buffalo :-)
I got upset and started crying last night, because I was so looking forward to getting home from bowling and having a Klondike bar....I got home and had bought the wrong flavor of Icecream. Talk about hormonal.
Things are slow at work, so ya'll start e-mailing me.
