(The scene opens on the inside of a bar in a town that is located right next to the thumb of Michigan. It is a town called Saginaw. It is a town that the Hardcore Wrestling Federation will be seeing a lot more of in the future. The bar is packed with people. There are gorgeous women dancing on the pool tables. There are balloons of all different colors, hanging from chairs, tables, and beer glasses. There is music blaring from an old seventies style jukebox. The song, while being played loud, can not really be heard over the sound of the hundred plus people talking. They are all here to celebrate. A banner that is draped over top of the bar itself explains the reason. It reads, “Congratulations Michigan Championship Wrestling Title Holder, Rictor!!!”. That’s the man that we are here to talk to. The Hardcore Wrestling Federation’s newest addition to the roster. A man who was last seen on television on a rival promotion, the Demolition Wrestling Federation. He was a tag team partner to the superstar named Havok. Rictor was always thought of as an incredible talent to the company, but ran into a bit of financial trouble and found that it was time to let Havok’s push toy go. While he was very upset, he let the last words The camera pans through the crowd, looking for the man responsible for the celebration. The crowd doesn’t seem to appreciate the fact that they are being pushed around. But then again, they are all drunk right now, what do they appreciate. More beers perhaps, but definately not pushing. The camera finally works it’s way to the front of the bar. It is there where we first get a glimpse of Rictor. He stands at about six feet, five inches tall. And weighs around a hundred and He recognizes the camera, and immediately assumes that it is from the HWF. He motions for it to follow him as he cuts across it and works his way back through the crowd and to the outside of the bar. It’s a quite, calm evening on the outside of Saginaw, Michigan. A light breeze sweeps across the face of Rictor once every so often. It’s about fifty-five degrees, which is abnormally high for Michigan in mid-April. Rictor is seen walking towards the cement structure of the building. He leans up against it and looks up into the sky.)
that he heard in that company keep him alive and well in the independent promotions. Those words, “you won’t be of television long”, stuck in his head for about two months now. And sure enough, he is about to sign the dotted line with the much acclaimed company known as the HWF.
seventy-five pounds. He has long, blonde hair, and is wearing a pair of dark sunglasses. His attire for the evening consists of a pair of light blue jeans, and a tight white shirt that is mostly covered by his black leather jacket.
Rictor: Quite a night this has turned out to be. I must say, the feeling of the whole town getting drunk off their ass just for me is pretty cool. Heck it’s pretty funny to see people who I’ve never seen before wish me luck and tell me that I’m their icon. It’s touching really, but I know they’ve never seen me in the ring. I know that it’s more than likely the free beer sign posted out here that would cause them to join me tonight than it is the fact that I am once again a “professional wrestler”. No more working for free for the owner of Michigan Championship Wrestling. He does pay all my expenses, and gives me a home to live in, but I’ve for the most part had to worry about supplying my own food for myself and my wife. But now, I’ve signed a contract with the Hardcore Wrestling Federation. One of the baddest places on earth if you are a wrestler. This place is for real. The big boys play at this federation. And just the other day, the biggest, and baddest of them all has signed to work for them. I am a member of the Hardcore Wrestling Federation. And I am going to make an impact. My whole life, I’ve been told that I am one of the best wrestlers in the world. I’ve been told that myself and my former partner, Havok, were the best tag team that ever grazed this green earth. And while Havok always liked to keep his feelings to himself, I’ve always been one to say, hell yeah! I am one of the best wrestlers in the world. And if anyone thinks otherwise, I’d like to invite them into the ring to test out their manhood. I’ve said that to village idiots. To the legends that I have goals that I have already set out for myself. This is a young federation. I am a young individual. I’m only twenty-six years old. I’ve got plenty of time. The way I look at it, the sooner I’m on top, the better. But I also see the potential of me working my way from the bottom, up to the top the hard way. Either way, I will be on top at one point in this federation. If I have to wrestle three matches in one night, a hardcore match, a streetfight, a barbed wire match, cage match, you name it, I’ll fight it in order to get respect around here. I don’t expect any of you chumps around here to trust me either. I’ll tell you from the get-go. I’m here for two reasons. I’m here for myself. And I’m here for the fans. I’ve been brought up from the owner of the Michigan Championship Wrestling to appreciate and respect the fans. I’ve been brought up to make sure I know that they make me who I am. So in turn, I want to be able to thank the fans as much as possible. I will be having numerous autograph sessions in my time Hell, I don’t respect many people these days. And I’ve been watching the HWF for quite some time. I could care less what your personality is like. I could give a damn about your personal lives. The only thing that any of you so-called wrestlers can do to earn my respect, is to wrestle. If you show me that you can go in the ring, I’ll show you what it’s like to have the respect of Rictor. It’s a hard thing to come about these days, but there are already a few of you wrestlers that I’ve seen in this federation that are pretty close to having my respect. But you can damn well bet that I won’t be giving you a hug in the up coming shows. I won’t be running out of the back to give you a hand in your match. I’ll just be watching you. And waiting for the day to come when you and I step into the ring. My name...is Alex Popp. You will call me Rictor. The impact that I will bring to this federation will be off the charts!
come through Michigan to look through the talent pools. I’ve watched them laugh, and then I’ve watched them scream when they actually tried to come into the ring with me. I’m here to do that same thing to the wrestlers in this federation as well. I’m here to ensure them that as good as they are, there’s always someone better. I’m living proof of that theory.
here at the HWF. I will slap your hands after a hard earned victory. And I will make sure that you see the best in ring performance from me each and every time I step through that curtain!
(With those closing remarks, Rictor walks back towards the camera. He then turns away and heads back into the bar. The door closes on the camera revealing a sign on the door. It reads, “the Hardcore Wrestling Federation celebrates the acquisition of MCW superstar, Rictor”. Scene fades to black)
