>>All he was doin weas in his own sense describing why the *rave* scene sucks now.
Well i wouldn't go as far as saying anything sucks because, a scene is what you make it; plain and simple.
You know Detroit was the las city where there was warehouse parties, and Detroit was one of the only cities, that had parties everyweekend. So all in all I consider ourselves really lucky that we could actually expirence that for as long as we did.
>>I remember when this webpage started there was 3 parties every weekend to go to. All with good lineups and none got busted.
Ok I find truth in this 100%, but here is my comment; the reason why there could be 3 parties on the same weekend, is because the #'s worked out. Dj's didn't charge as much, and there were around 4000 ravers around Detroit so, every one had their choice of parties. But now there are only about 5 promoters left in Detroit, and money and attendence are low, plain and simple. Because you need $$ to throw a party with, what people think is a good line up. so say a party costs 10-15,000 to throw, you wouldn't be able to find an invester that is not looking for some kind of return. So basically Yes it is about $$ but, if we could do small warehouse parties, or loft parties like there used to be with an all local line up, and charge 5$ to get in I would be all about it.
Anyone who wants to do a small party like 5$ all local line kind of like a Detraves.com party e mail me, maby we can find a free venue, and just throw the dj's a little $$ for gas and what not.
Thanks
