Subject: Hi from rainy London

Hi everyone
Well as you can probably guess from the title the weather is crap here, has been for most of the week. Murray and Chris went home on Sunday so it has been pretty quiet around here. I had a job interview last night for a nanny position. THe job is from 3pm to 7pm every day do ideal hours really - and i would obviously take Laura with me. The family is quite interesting, her name is sandra smith do I was quite surprised when she answered the door and was black african. Two boys aged 4 and 7. THey have two houses and seem to live in both. I couldn't quite put my finger on the family situation, but when the father Clolin dropped me at the tube station he enlightend me. His son is the 4 year Oliver and Sandra's son is the 7 year old. His wife died of cancer when Oliver was 1 year old and he and sandra (who is divorced) met 2 years ago. THey both love their own house and they haven't yet decided what to do about where they will live permanently. THey both work in television and are really nice people. If i get the job (should find out tomorrow there will be a car available to me most weeks - which will be great. Find out tomorrow so wil let you know. Mark has organised a Karori club team to play in Birmingham next week. There are about 10 Karori guys spread out over london and they are all coming together for the one game next Sunday. All the girlfriends are going up as well. Geoff and Jenny and Mark and I are going to hire a car and drive up. We're staying with Greg who is an english guy that played for Karori a couple of years ago. he's a top guy and has brought a three bedroom house in birmingham. We are really looking forward to it. Marks job is going well he has the day off tommorrow but instead of staying home with his loving family he is going out for a boozy work lunch and has to attend some meetings. so another entralling day at home for me. Washing, ironing, sweeping, wiping, more washing, cooking, bathing, changing crappy napies etc. Can't wait actually. Laura is good although she was the devil incarnate today and spent good deal of time in her bedroom having 'time out' - doesn't that sound soo nineties. She insists on spreading and mushing her food up all over the place and also refuses to acknowlede the word 'no'. Except when she needs to use it which is quite often. Laura went into a bed two days ago and took to it like a duck to water - so no more portacot! I have made one local friend, her name is poppy ans she owns an espresso bar at the train staion across the road. I head over there most day for my daily intake of cafine and a bit of adult chitchat. Her son is five and has been a model since he was 7 months old and absoulutely loves it. He is curently on huge posters all around Marks and Spencers which is big department store. She has given me the name and number of his agent and insits I should get Laura into it. We have been wanting to for some time so are going to take pictures of her this weekend to send to the agency. So we'll see what happens. Well laura is eighteen months old tomorrow so we thought to celebrate we would take her to science world on saturday - aparently it has huge adventure play ground - so should be fun.
