Hi Everyone,

Well Im on holiday for 2 weeks now. Still working partime but 10 hours a week hardly counts as working. Its quite good really cos NHL (Wellington womens team) starts this weekend. So 2 weeks off classes will give me a chance to trainfor that.

Well I have just had a week of coaching the WGC 1XI hockey team in Chch for their tournament. We came 14th :(. But I had a really good week and apparently (according to the girls and their parents) the team did as well. Quite funny being on the other side of that for once. Not that Im a lot older than them - but its quite tiring spending a whole week with 14 schoolgirls. Some of the fourth formers especially. Its quite funny when they do really annoying stuff cos I know that I mistve done that to my coaches at school. I learnt heaps though. Just spending a week analysing hockey games makes you think heaps about how team patterns and stuff should work. It was quite hard that we were there to win so most of the time we played our top line up - which meant there were girls who got a lot of bench time. Cos it is a school 1XI this is the first time a lot of them have played in a team where you dont play equal field time to everyone. So there was a few tears which was quite hard cos I no wot its like to sit on the bench - and I knew it sucked for them - and really wanted to play them but couldnt if we wanted to win. We tried to talk to them heaps about it though cos 1 thing I hate is when u sit on the bench and the coach has never said a word to you about when you'll go on or if youll go on or anything and you have no idea what to expect. So it was an awesome week - and I hope I get to do it again.

Then I went to Rainbow skifield just out of blenheim to meet up with dad (he was on his work ski weekend). WE were supposed to have 2 days of skiing there. But on Saturday am we heard that the chairlift which took u up to the t-bars was broken (very small ski field - so this basically cut off all slopes except learners). Anyway they said it would be fixed for sunday so we decided to stay. Dad had to come home for bridge on sunday. So me and Neats stayed at this cool ski lodge with the people from dads work (about 150 of them). We went to watch the rugby in a tiny pub about 35 minutes from anything (even a house). The next day we got up to go skiing and the lift was still broken. So we hired snowboards and played on the learners slopes. Turned out to be a very cool weekend even wihtout the skiing.

So now I am just about to go down to Naomi's house (she bought 1 in case anyone didn know that - in hathaway ave - karori). And take her am tea cos she is painting.

Hope everyone is good. Keep the buffy updates coming Erin :).
