Nothing is 100% certain. Nonetheless, some ideas are so mindbeggaringly improbable that they do not warrant extended consideration.

Look, is it possible that a large continent at some time in the 4.5 billion year career of the earth existed and was destroyed? Of course. But is there more than even the tiniest jot of probability that such an event took place within the last 10,000, 100,000, or even 1,000,000 years? The evidence at hand just will not support the idea.
