The Genesis flood is usually placed at about 4,000 B.C. by biblical scholars. Mayans were writing in Roman times, well after the supposed destruction of Atlantis. How then is this in any way evidence of the existence of Atlantis? All it suggests is that more than one flood may have occured in the history of the Earth. Hardly a surprising discovery.
