"Modern scientists have now pretty well come to agreement that the dinosaurs vanished as the result of an impact of a meteor, and they pretty much agree that such events have occurred more than once during the life of this planet."

The impacts which destryed Atlantis and Mu would have had to be much larger than that which may have wiped out the dinosaurs. The fact that there is no global extinction at this time shows that such impacts did not occur.

"The geological and climatological records show quite clearly that such an ocean impact event occurred in the southern hemisphere approximately 12,000 years ago, and again in the northern hemisphere approximately 11,500 years ago. This is the reason that the ice age ended so abruptly and uncharacteristically in the southern hemisphere at that time, and in the northern hemisphere 500 years later."

No they do not. This is simply clutching at straws in order to try to hide the fact that Paulsen's claims are completely impossible. If there is evidence that an impact caused the sudden end of the ice age in the southern hemisphere, then another in the northern hemisphere show us this evidence. Show us some credible scientific research which supports this view.

"The effects, both short term and long term, of such an impact vary quite dramatically depending upon whether the impact was upon land or into an ocean. The geological and climatological records show quite clearly that such an ocean impact event occurred in the southern hemisphere approximately 12,000 years ago, and again in the northern hemisphere approximately 11,500 years ago."

This is of course completely untrue, however even if it were shown to be true, it would simply disprove Paulsen's claims, as he "remembers" the continents being destroyed by land impacts, i.e. he claims the impacts destroyed the continents.
