~*~*She seemed slightly ashamed of the answer that she gave you.*~*~

....Treyvan is everything that we are not. We are free to live our own lives, we are free to use our power. He is not. The other Guardians will never really understand, because they all died in the early ages. Treyvan is the only being who has seen the horrors of ALL the ages, and who has personally lost EVERYBODY that he has ever cared about. He carries with him a slight hate towards Verdandi and himself, and his tendencies will wear off on us if we get too close to him. We are 'replacements' for his people whom were killed- our races are linked by the generations. Our power is miniscule compared to that of even most mortals- we can not protect ourselves from the thoughts and feelings of our directly superior being. The others would pose no problems towards us- but Treyvan knows what true pain is. He is naturally empathic towards anything sensitive enough to recieve the thoughts through his heavy shielding, and our race is among those that would be affected by it. More or less, getting too close would trigger a suicidal rage that passed from one of us to those waiting at our home. We do not understand real pain- it would drive us all to our deaths.
