My mom passed away from cancer when i was 12 and since i was never baptized as a baby,she made dad promise that i would be baptized and make my First Communion by age 15.So three months after i turned 14,dad had me baptized.The baptism director told him that the parish would provide my baptism outfit that had to be dry cleaned and returned.The morning of my baptism,dad took me to the nursery where two young nuns were waiting for me.They told me to get completely undressed and get into a crib and lay on my back.Then then pinned cloth diapers on me,then put adult size plastic pants on me over them,with a white tee shirt as my top.Next came lace anklets,white shoes,a knee length baptism gown and matching bonnet.They then took me out and showed me to dad and told him that i was a baby and that i should be treated like one for the day.My sponsors and other family members thought i looked cute and baby like and liked hearing the plastic pants crinkling under my gown!
