Beginning with Vietnam, it's a different world today in considering wars in terms of Victory or Defeat. It has become a cliche, "America lost the Vietnam War." They have not studied the complexities of the Vietnam War and our our original mission of involvement. Iraq and Afghanastan are similar in that respect. We put boots on the ground in Afghanastan because the controlling Taliban harbored terrorist base camps and terrorist leader directly responsible for 9/11. Our intent today is making sure Afghanastan doesn't return to what it was. How long will that take? Similar to Vietnam, America's patience and leadership changes are an issue. I can't view these three wars in terms of W's or L's, but America doing what they had to do. Similar to Nam, the just end is the responsibility of these countries. Greg
