Dave Wright pretty much sums it up for me. The only difference was that I was so proud to have served & so hurt at the loosing of so many friends in my Plt. & I wanted to join a Vet organization. I went to our local VFW in 1970,& was turned away because ours was not a war ,just a police action. That was it for me. Burried it for 30 odd years until I woke up in a in patient PTSD ward . Thanks to my wife I am still kicken & am surely hoping the folks fighting today will take heed of us old Nam vets.I have met a couple of the Iraqi vets & they remind me of me 40 years ago.Damm, seems we didn't learn much in the 10,000 day war.
