I served with Rudy from June 1968 to April 1970. We had some good times in Bremerton Navy Yard. The Pyro was in dry dock getting retrofitted and a crew was being formed in the summer of 68. We stayed in old WW11 barracks until the ship was ready in the fall of 68. Rudy always served on the Bridge of the ship with the Quartermasters/ Sonar/ radar.
