All snails shells will disolve in soft acid waters over time, the best thing to do is transfer them to a neutral water and feed them on flake food which apple snails will even take of the water surface, freeze dried brine shrimp are also much appre. as they contain the shell of the shrimp (adults)within a few weeks you will find all the holes are gone but scaring will remain. best thing to do if you want perfect shells is to set the damaged ones up in a 12"-15" tank with a floating platform in and breed some young ones.
