I think it would be wonderful for you to take a philosophy class. In that class you would soon understand that you have, in your assumption that people who defend the Bible are ill-adapted to the English language, just in fact committed a fallacy. Please refer yourself to the Straw Man Fallacy. I'm taking a leap of faith here and assuming that you are a follower of Mr. Darwin - long dead and buried with a theory full of holes. What do you have in common with "Bible followers?" You too, appear to be leading us in circles. If your only proof that evoltion is a valid theory is that you fail to see how the Bible has contributed to science...well, you've got an illogical argument there too. You've heard of the false dillemma falacy I hope? If not, try educating yourself before you attempt to speak logically and effectively. I, myself, like a great many educated Christians believe that the Bible is a powerful, scientific tool. Consider this...Abraham (you do know who that is, correct?) accurately predicted the order in which the earth was created. What are the chances of that? Where can you find written proof of this? Simple. Read Genesis and then attend a science class. You'll discover that for our earth to exist the way that it does now - as a functional, life sustaining planet - things needed to happen in a very particular order. S. Hawking (please tell me you know who this is!) wrote the very popular book "A Brief History of Time." Time and space had, according to this famous scientist, an origin. This is widely accepted as a fact. Ask Mr. Einstein and he'll tell you the same thing. However, although this is true and undisputed by science...the theory of Evolution contradicts science. Consider this. The Laws of Thermodynamics state that matter can neither be created nor distroyed and that an object at rest tends to stay at rest... Oops. That doesn't seem to help Evolution at all! Consider the law of Cause and Effect. Darwin's followers believe that No One + Nothing = Everything. No one created the universe...it just decided to create itself. Everything that you see is not the result of intelligent design. The fact that it appears to function intelligently is just an illusion. Actually, we are all just random mutations and there is no "self." You and I are illusions. Free will does not exist because we are just the result of random mutations and reactions. (Look up a little thing called Determinism.) While you're at it, consider the law of Biogenesis. Like begets like. We are still waiting to find a link between species that clearly shows one species giving birth to a different species. So far, beavers beget beavers and flies beget flies. You would need two fish, one male and one female, to evolve into a new species together and then still be able to reproduce effectively - not the old species, but the new. If you know of any case in which this has occurred, please give Darwin's followers a call. They'd appreciate it. What else? Oh, too much stuff to talk about in one sitting! Proof of intelligent design. Well...how many different conditions are necessary for a life sustaining planet earth to exist? Let's name a few...the position of the moon, sun, nearby planets and starts...the axial tilt of earth...the speed of earth's rotation...the expansion rate of the universe...to name a few. So far, and they discover new conditions everyday, there are hundreds of factors necessary for life to exist on planet earth. These factors do not include the psychological make up of the beings which occupy it. These factors, when calculated into a statistical probability that life could exist by chance becomes obscene. Completely obscene. I'd be happy to give you a detailed account of all known factors and the final number, if that interests you. Hey, I'd be happy to talk about this with anyone who's interested. Too often though, I find people who refuse to educate themselves on both sides of this argument, because they prefer to revel in their ignorance. I have a stack of evidence three feet high on this subject. If you find yourself with nothing more than a grudge against God to fuel your arguments...please email me and relieve yourself of the burden of ignorance. I'm not asking you to agree with everything I have to say...rather to know that you have the opportunity to live as a relatively well-educated individual.
