*With a ferocious bellow of a neigh the stud leaps forward, all his muscles bunching and tightening, but he feels the claws of the second vulture cut deeply into his thickly-muscled back. He arches his milky neck back in pain and whirls around, shaking the bird loose with tremendous effort. Dark crimson blood runs down his snow white pelt as he plunges forward, his silver horn flashing toward the bird's chest.*
