He nods, truly understanding her in a small way. Not really one to reveal his past, he doesn't speak of it. "I understand.. Truly, I do." He says seriously.

His own hand reaches out to scratch the chirr's chin, hopes in him that she wouldn't be upset at the small sign of his affection for the chirr. At least he could be friends with the Niyia, even if a bond was not had. "Oh.. I suppose a proper introduction's in order. I am Sathran.." He says, holding out his other hand to her in offer of friendship.

[Er.. So you know a -bit- about his past, he was.. not exactly a slave, but as close to one as possible without -truly- being one. His sister was as well, though she was well protected by her brother from any.. er.. experiences such as Zaniel's]
