"...Hey." comes the response as thinks for a moment what he should say. She had gottten involved in his problems, the least he could do is try to help. He speaks slowly and directly, remembering the words from a traveler he had met in his youth.

"Some wounds never heal, and some are more than physical. I made my choices a long time ago knowing where they would get me, and I bear the scars of my life accordingly. But if you want a little help healing your wounds 'for they get outta hand, the least I can do fer ya is listen."
