This is a sad sad day. The people at Musketeermadness nominated more admins (now a total of five I believe) to delete/shape/mold/allow what can and cannot be posted. Here are the guidelines that the shadow posted:
I would hope that these individuals would follow some suggested guidelines.
1) Drop all profanity. Edit it out once or twice and if that doesn't work, drop the whole post.
2) Remove any personal attacks or untoward comments toward a person, to an individual or a group (school, organization, etc.) and remember that you mother is a woman also.
3) Bear in mind that this board is for the dissemination of basketball material and nothing else. Other material should be deleted ASAP.
Remember, that above all, any words that appear here reflect on a fine university and great traditions that started long before many of us arrived in this world. You demean it or the sprit of X and you are history.
What does everyone think about the guidelines?

After 8 months and hundreds of posts, Gary Griffin explained my banning by this...
"Jesus Christ was simply cluttering up the board with junk that didn't need to be there, including taking shots at other posters in what JC very, very thinly veiled as non-shots.
I knew that pecker would ban me if I stepped out of line, so I didn't attack other posters. I posted about basketball. How petty that is of him.
Now he has Muskieman as another moniter. They guy posted as "Wasp Pee" on this very board, and made comments about me being gay before I ever said a word about him. Guess I will get a fair chance with him as well.
The problem with monitors is that they should be somewhat objective. I got crap when I monitored the board, but I never banned anyone. I deleted personal shots at our kids and excessive foul language, as well as any UC posts. Though I was a huge Skip fan, my board was a Skip bashing haven for years. You couldn't go a week without a call for Prosser's head, and they all stayed up.
And I was considered the board Nazi by Gary Griffin. How funny that he now does much more than I ever did. He was once proud about how he uses his real name, but now even he has a moniker of "Admin". If you click on his email address, it sends you to Musketeermadness. His real email address is gmgxu72@aol.com. Remember when he used to act like he was the only one with balls because he used his real name. Nowdays, he has even blocked out any reference to the word Gary on the MM board. As of tonight, if you type Gary, it comes up ****. What a fraud for a guy who used to claim his manhood by backing it up with his own name.
I go for months without problem, posting away, and the week that practice starts Griffin bans me. This is the biggest season in Xavier history, and I am suddenly history myself. I honestly think he has a problem. He used to post more than any poster on the board. By comparison, he rarely posts anymore. Maybe since Skip left he doesn't have a cause, I don't know. Maybe he just likes to fuck with me, and he banned me for old times sake.
Muskieman now has access to all of your email addresses. I don't want someone that claims that I am gay on this board to have access to personal information that I have given to Musketeer Madness. I have a problem with that.

iposted a link to the new and improved xavier board. the link was taken down. i posted a question asking why and went out of my way and said that i respected the site, had always followed the guidelines, have posted numerous links before, and wanted to continue to read, post and contribute to the board. if there was a problem with this link i would appreciate a response. i got a response. the post was instantly taken down and i was banned from posting. no problems ever. even when others attacked the board i defended it at times.
fuck them! we have a better board now thanks to pablo and co.

What do I think of the guidelines? Its okay to go there, but there is a definate need for at least one alternative board to that one. I remember back to the ITW board run by Snipe... it was fun. I think with it being an official site, and probably gets a ton of hits, Musketeer Madness is the "friendly board". ITW was fun, but to be fair, there were a lot less posters back in those days. MM is not an official site, but it is the number 1 non-official site. They get some press row passes, so they do some official ass kissing. I joined up on MM 2 or 3 weeks after the new board went up. At that time, this board had gone into hibernation. Almost as soon as I joined MM, Gary posted a person's email that had been marked private. That pissed me off. Then Gary began to delete posts that were not necessarily basketball related, but clearly not harmful. That pissed me off too. So I came over here and begged Pablo to get his board moving again. It worked. Now we post stupid shit on here all the time, but this board is ten times as much fun as what MM has become in the last couple of weeks.
As the season approaches, I fully expect to see much more thoughtful basketball posts here than on the MM board. We are rightfully labeled rabble rousers, but we are also hard core hoops fans. MM has gone over the edge. The Shadow is Hitler and muskieman is one hundred million Germans following in his wake blindly. Plus, muskieman's nipples are the size of a midget's fist. Now they have 5 friggin monitors and can blame each other aimlessly for deleted posts/banned users.
My biggest concern for the MM board is how they will handle it when muskieman's coworkers get on his computer and use his moderator status to raise all kinds of hell on their precious sanctuary.
These guidelines suck, are guided to prevent the posters I most enjoy reading from posting, and will be enforced in only the most haphazard and non-uniform way to prevent enemies of the MM machine from posting. They have blacked out the names "Gary" and "Snipe". I think that says it all. I for one plan on posting here during the season. I will only use the MM board as a flaming outpost until I see some changes in their style. It is really to bad, that board has a great format and some decent posters. Oh well, in the words of Fat Bob, "Fuck 'em, really, fuck 'em."

Yeah the guidelines suck, and those are just one person's (the shadow) guidelines. They have 5 guys to delete posts, and not one will ever claim any accountability for their actions. They can simply delete stuff or ban people and hide behind everyone else.
I guess it wouldn't matter if they didn't hold childish vendettas. Most of the stuff they delete is garbarge that people don't want to read. That gives them credibilty. Then Gary Griffin can use that credibility against posters that he simply doesn't like. If someone else said the exact things that I said, they wouldn't be deleted or banned. And who else has really been banned? As much as people here are bitching and complaining about their policies, they aren't banning any other regular posters except me. And when I asked why I was banned, the arrogant bastard tells me that my posts are generally useless and taking up space. I am sure that he enjoyed that very much. I have been posting on these boards since their begining on the net, and I am a rabid follower of the Muskies. To be excluded by the all powerfull Gary Griffin for a past vendetta just shows what a little man that he is.
I enjoyed your shot about Muskieman's coworkers. I still can't believe he tried to pass of the "nameless" attacks he made that way. What a jock sniffing half-wit. His own posts are like a charicature making fun of himself. The inmates are truely running the asylum.
