In reply to: North Star 's message, "[quiet]" on 12:12:28 02/22/03 Sat

Raising head from restless doze, he glances about valley, seeing all in place. Gaze moving to Frost, he flicks tail about haunches. The quiet was deafening. But conversation had lulled, then died, and he didn't know what to talk about. He was afraid of... Hesitating, he tosses head. That was it. A conversation piece.

What do you fear, my lady? For me, I fear losing those I hold most dear. I fear neither death nor pain. Not my physical pain, or my death, at least, but I do fear the death and pain of those around me. It is where I feel helpless to stop it. I fear when things get beyond my control. When it feels I'm just along for the ride. And,I think, what I fear the most is a cage. To stay behind 'bars' until I no longer remember life outside them, or care about life itself...

He lowers head a bit, though gaze searches her own. He had told her things he had never shared with another. Why? He didn't have a clue. But it was conversation. Perhaps strange conversation to come out of the blue, but conversation, nonetheless.
