Yes, it is like an antichamber, when in space, it would be used as a decontamination room between ship and docking station. There are two 'little' stalls on either side for showering and a rack of uniforms for changing clothes, but otherwise it is empty and sterile. The door must be secure... which it is, closing down (think of a window sliding down) and with a small, unbreakable piece of glass (plasticized.. plexiglass maybe) for a window. There is a keypad next to the door, which would be used to open the door... with the right code.
