Alean laughs at Toireasa's comment about self-destructive ships.
Shaking Toireasa's proffered hand, she answers, "As I said, I'll fight for any side that'll pay me, but my personal allegiance is to the rebs. That's off the record, of course." She gives Toireasa a look that seems to say, 'you had better not mention this anywhere else'.
"And I'm talking to you because you genuinely seem like a decent person; anybody who avoids you because they think you're cold needs to stick with you a bit longer." The smile she wears says that the does not mean the comment as an insult; if anything, it's a compliment.
